Arrive in Nashville and check into the GAYLORD OPRYLAND RESORT, recognized around the world for its extraordinary service, luxurious accommodations and first-class entertainment.  Under majestic, climate controlled glass atriums, you’ll be surrounded by nine acres of lush indoor gardens, winding rivers and pathways, and a sparkling 44 foot waterfall.   We’ll take a walking tour of the GAYLORD OPRYLAND RESORT on our way to dinner.  following dinner, we be joined  by a successful local songwriter.  He’ll play hits songs he’s written and answer any questions.  Day 2, after a full breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be hosted around Nashville and experience the best of Music City.  Tour sites include Nashville downtown area, State Capitol, Fort Nashborough, Riverfront Park, the Ryman Auditorium, Centennial Park & the Parthenon, Music Row’s Recording Studios, The Governor’s Mansion, Vanderbilt University, Belmont College and many other points of interest.  Free time for shopping on historic 2nd. Avenue downtown.  Admission included to Ryman Auditorium, a National Historic Landmark, known as the “Carnegie Hall of the South”,  “Mother Church of Country Music” and “Birthplace of Bluegrass”.   Buffet dinner and country music variety show included at Nashville Nightlife theatre.   Day 3, be a Star for a Day, your group begins with a personally guided tour of historic RCA Studio B, home of 1,000 hits, where music legends recorded timeless songs.  You’ll be inspired during your own recording session directed by a sound engineer right where Elvis himself stood to record over 200 songs.  Includes admission to the Country Music Hall of Fame and hear rare recordings of country’s legendary performers, see costumes, instruments and personal treasures from country music’s past and present.  Free time for shopping at Opry Mills, Tennessee’s premier hopping destination.  This evening experience Grand Ole Opry, Nashville’s must see attraction and the world’s longest running live radio show.  Day 4, depart for the Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson, meticulously restored to its 1837 appearance. Afterwards, depart for Franklin, TN for free time for shopping, etc.  then its onward to Columbia, TN, for a Progressive Antebellum Dinner starting at the ancestral home of  the 11th. President, James K. Polk, then to the Athenaeum, to tour the Historic Anthenaeum, remains of two famous schools that flourished in the area from the 1830s until the Great Depression, depart for Elm Springs and enjoy a buffet dinner and dessert.  After a full breakfast at the hotel you’ll depart for home.  Eight meals and three shows included in this grand tour.
