Experience the best of the best in one trip! DAY 1, we’ll depart for NASHVILLE TN., and meet our local representative and check-in-at the fabulous GAYLORD OPRYLAND RESORT. Enjoy dinner on your own and a free evening in Nashville. DAY 2, After a full breakfast at our hotel (included) we’ll depart Nashville for NEW ORLEANS!!! Check in at the FOUR POINT BY SHERATON FRENCH QUARTER, French Quarter, also known as Vieux Carre’ – or the “Quarter” to locals, sits on a crescent in the Mississippi River on some of the highest ground in New Orleans. Not only is this the city’s cultural hub, but it is a community where residents take time to reminisce with neighbors about times gone by and welcome visitors. Your local guide will meet you upon arrival and escort you throughout your stay. At the NEW ORLEANS SCHOOL OF COOKING (CHEF prepares 4 Louisiana dishes – dinner served at the end of class). DAY 3, after a full breakfast at the hotel, we’ll go the MARDI GRAS WOLD, admission included and NATIONAL WORLD WAR II MUSEUM. This evening we’ll board the NATCHEZ STEAMBOAT for a dinner/jazz cruise on the Mississippi River. DAY 4, after breakfast at the hotel, we depart for LAURA PLANTATION to enjoy a cultural tour experience unlike anywhere else in the US. Here on the banks of the Mississippi River, in the middle of New Orleans Plantation Country, at one historic farm, surrounded by fields of sugarcane, you’ll find the difference that exemplifies Creole Louisiana. We’ll take a guided tour of the “Big House” and 200-year-old sugar plantation homestead with a visit to the 3 gardens, Jardin Francais, the kitchen potager, BananaL and grove and a guided tour of one of the slave cabins. Lunch included at FRENIER LANLDING. This afternoon, we’ll see the Cajuns of the Bayou living and surviving is harmony with the swamps on a LOUISIANA SWAMP BOAT TOUR. Here, the waterways are their highways. From the relaxed comfort of our covered Swamp Tour Boat, we well drift slowly past a 2000-year-old Indian Burial Ground, a Cajun cemetery and fishing village. Afterwards, we’ll return to our hotel to freshen up before dinner. Free evening to enjoy the French Quarter with dinner on your own. DAY 5, after a full breakfast included at our hotel, you’ll have a free day in the French Quarter with lunch on your own. This evening dinner is included at the COURT OF TWO SISTERS’ RESTAURANT. Afterwards, enjoy a live New Orleans jazz show at Fritzel’s European Jazz Pub. DAY 6, we depart for Nashville and stay at Club Hotel in Nashville for the night and dinner at the HERMITAGE HOSE SMORGASBORD. Following dinner, we’ll be joined by a successful local songwriter, who’ll play songs he’s written and answer any questions. DAY 7, Depart for home after breakfast.
