Begin this sweet adventure with an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast at Mary Miller's Amish Home. You will learn about the early settlers and how they were taught by native American Indians how to turn the watery sap of the maple tree into a delightful and wholesome treat.
Next stop the Rothenbuhler Cheese Chalet. A taste of the Swiss Alps, but much closer to home! This Cheese Chalet is a destination not to be missed for both local residents and visitors, offering an array of gourmet cheeses, meats, Geauga County maple syrup, jams, pancake mixes and imported items.
Visit James Miller's family owned sugar house!
Visit The Burton Log Cabin & Sugar Camp is a working sugar house producing maple syrup every spring and making maple candy year round. It is operated year round by the Burton Chamber of Commerce. The Log Cabin also serves as the information resource center for Burton and surrounding areas. Located in the 4th largest Amish community in the world, Burton is rich in history and culture and is the backdrop for a variety of events throughout the year.
The final destination is an Amish Feast at an Amish home. No tour would be complete without a good old fashion Amish meal! The menu includes: Baked chicken, real mashed potatoes, stuffing & gravy, seasonal vegetable, seven layer salad, fresh bread and dessert with a maple spin. Coffee & Tea.
Full payment is due within 7 days of booking.
