Take a cross country journey to South Dakota. Experience MT. RUSHMORE and walk in the PRESIDENTS TRAIL. View the majestic Crazy Horse Carving! See the wildlife as you drive through CUSTER STATE PARK. CRUSIE THE WATERS OF THE DELLS IN WISCONSIN. Behold the wonders of BADLANDS NATIONAL PARK. See the a-maze-ing displays at the CORN PALACE in Mitchell, and try your luck at a riverfront casino in Davenport. DAY 1- Depart and travel to Chicago IL, where your guide will show you the highlights of the “WINDY CITY”, after which you’ll check-in for your lodging for the night and prepare for dinner. DAY 2, Following breakfast, check-out and travel to the WISCONSIN DELLS, and climb aboard a cruise boat for a 1-hour tour of the LOWER DELLS, then enjoy some free time in the area. Lodging tonight is in the Wisconsin Dells, with dinner at a local restaurant. DAY 3, enjoy breakfast and travel through the BADLANDS NATIONAL PARK stopping at the visitor’s center. Continue to your lodging in the Rapid City area, where dinner awaits. DAY 5, After breakfast depart with your guide and return to MT. RUSHMORE NATIONAL MEMORIAL to walk the PRESIDENT’S TRAIL. Stop at CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL, and visit the MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN INDIAN. Drive thru CUSTER STATE PARK and view an abundance of native wildlife. DAY 6, arise to breakfast, meet your guide and head for a visit to the JOURNEY MUSEUM, where you can explore the heritage of the cultures of the Black Hills region. Visit the MT. RUSHMORE BLACK HILLS GOLD FACTORY, then depart for HISTORIC DEADWOOD, and MT. MORIAH CEMETARY (burial site of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane). Dinner included tonight. DAY 7, following breakfast, travel eastward stopping at WALL DRUG, where you’ll find a bit of everything. AL’S OASIS is a great place to stop for lunch, some “5 cent coffee” and souvenirs before continuing to Sioux Falls, SD for dinner and lodging. DAY 8, Breakfast and travel to Davenport Iowa. Dinner included this evening, then try your luck at a riverfront casino. DAY 9, after breakfast check out and prepare for your departure home, taking with you beautiful memories of your vacation in the BLACK HILLS OF SOUTH DAKOTA.
